BE THERE CHURCHES
The church is Jesus’ creation. He said,” I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matthew 16:18) He is the head of the church. “The Church” will BE THERE in Heaven as Christ’s bride. He sent the Holy Spirit to guide and empower the church. The church on earth has the “Great Commission” to go and make disciples of all nations.
Although all churches believe that they will BE THERE in Heaven, scriptures would indicate differently. The Apostles formed fellowships of believers who met and worshiped together and shared their possessions. As the gospel spread, churches were established in other cities and countries. In Revelation 2 & 3, John was instructed to write letters to the seven churches in Asia with messages from Christ. Each church receives commendation, complaint and correction from Christ. Each letter indicated that only “he who overcomes” will experience Heaven. Churches today must overcome the same problems that were facing the seven Asia Minor churches. Forsaking your first love; false teachings; sexual immorality; falling asleep spiritually; unbelievers; lukewarm members and pride are still plaguing churches. He who overcomes will BE THERE in Heaven as Christ promised.
BE THERE churches focus on Christ and his gift of eternal life. Their prayer, purpose and passion are for their members to BE THERE with Jesus in Heaven and to BE THERE for Him on earth. BE THERE churches magnify Heaven so many will desire to BE THERE. They emphasize scripture, parables, music and sermons about Heaven and how to BE THERE.
BE THERE churches are there to serve others in Christ’s name. Jesus said that whatever we do for the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick or prisoner will determine our eternal destination. BE THERE churches will BE THERE for Jesus in prayer, to share and to care for others in His name.
The wedding of the Lamb is described in Revelation 19:6-9: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linens, bright and clean, was given to her to wear.” Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! BE THERE!
