Why Heaven?
Why BE THERE? God created man with an eternal soul or spirit that seeks fellowship with Him. Yet many of us wonder, Why would God want me in Heaven? He wants you to BE THERE because He loves you. You may recognize the verse,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
The most basic reason why you should choose to BE THERE is that there are only two possible destinations after death. Heaven and Hell. Each is just as real and just as eternal as the other. Some, including Satan, would like to deceive you to believe that there is no Hell. If we understand Hell in the slightest, we will not want to go there. Jesus describes both in Luke 16 and explains why it is important to listen to scripture and choose to BE THERE. The Heaven that Jesus and other describe in scripture is very beautiful and full of wonders and joy. Why would you not want to BE THERE?
